Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been thoroughly enjoying their life in Montecito, yet reports from individuals close to the former senior royals suggest that they might be contemplating a move slightly further south. The Sussexes, who have spent the last three years in California, are reportedly "considering" a move to Malibu. This would bring them nearer to the celebrity-favorite restaurant Nobu Malibu, the imaginary dream house of Barbie, and indeed, the bustling activities of Los Angeles.

"Their life there brings them joy," a confidential source revealed. "However, it seems a tad isolated and disconnected from the city."

The source highlighted Meghan's childhood affinity for the beach, leading to the choice of Montecito as the American home for her, Harry, and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet Diana. Their proximity to Malibu also gives them the unique opportunity to rub shoulders with other celebrities and public figures.

"Meghan's fondness for coastal life played a part in their decision to move to Montecito," added the source, explaining the appeal Malibu holds for her.

"Around her adolescent years, Meghan visited Montecito and was captivated by the breathtaking views and striking architecture," an insider mentioned back in 2020 when the couple disclosed their plans to relocate to the United States. "Relocating there was always a possibility, but initially, Meghan and Harry desired to try out Los Angeles. Regrettably, Harry didn't take a liking to it — the timing was unfortunate due to the [coronavirus] pandemic and they were devoid of privacy."

As of now, Meghan and Harry have not made a final decision on the move. Insiders affirm that "no concrete decisions have been made," yet an insider mentioned that a move to the sun-soaked beaches of Malibu is “certainly within their considerations.” A different source added that Harry and Meghan “developed a liking for the region” after spending some of their summer in a friend's vacation house and the two have been "informally looking at properties there.”
