History of Malibu Park

The Malibu Park neighborhood has a rich history that dates back to the early 1900s when the Rindge family owned much of the land in the area. The Rindges were one of the wealthiest families in Southern California, and they established a ranch in the Malibu area in the late 1800s. In 1903, the Rindges built a 17-mile-long road to connect their ranch to the outside world. This road, known as the Malibu Canyon Road, helped to open up the area to other settlers.

In the 1920s and 1930s, many Hollywood celebrities discovered the beauty of Malibu and built vacation homes in the area. Malibu Park was one of the neighborhoods that attracted these wealthy celebrities. The area continued to grow throughout the 20th century, and today, it is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in all of Malibu.
